Many...I was a seat filler for a few years and was lucky enough to sit by many musicians; NSync, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Usher, Britney Spears, etc...all the groups from the early 2000's... I was also a regular in the VIP area of Studio 54 and got to chat with Magic Johnson... drinks with John O'Hurley...dancing with Oscar De La Hoya... gee, that was a long time ago...Also did some extra work on movies and was able to go to cast parties to dance and eat with Julia Roberts, Billy Crystal, John Cusack, Catherine Zeta-Jones, & Christopher Walken... and the last one I'll toss in is John Corbett who showed up at my Barchlorette party and gave me a hug and a sweet kiss and posed for a picture with me, at the time, I had no idea who this guy was, I just thought my friends wanted me to take a picture with a random hot guy.  LOL!

80 in the summer, 69 in the winter

Hmm...being a Lifeguard...I was so stressed out all the time trying to keep track of all the kids to make sure everyone was safe...ya, I know...not really that bad...

The pearls from my grandmother, that were from her grandmother.  :)

03-16-10 = Learning to fly....but I don't have wings...

I love to fly... in my dreams. I can really fly in them. It is an amazing thing. I can zoom around in the air, soaring up high, or hovering low. I have no fear or anxiety when I'm flying. I would even venture to say it is my preferred method of transportation.

So why is it that I'm not a fan of flying in a plane? My hands seem to sweat thinking of it.

I think it's time to make a leap of faith. I wanna fly, but not just in my dreams. I want to look down from up high and see the world below me from new heights...I'm going skydiving.

My hands start to sweat thinking about it. Why does something I feel so good about in my dreams make my heart race when I'm awake...it's time to put that one to sleep...LOL!

03-08-10 - Mr. Mom

I often feel like the luckiest woman/mother/wife alive. Lately it has been heavier on the luckiest wife side. My husband truly is Superman/Super-daddy/Super-husband! This was the view as I walked out the door for work the other morning. Here he is making sure everyone is taken care of...what a gem! I love him!!! Thanks honey!

03-05-10 - Whoa...What a Wild Friday Night!

It's Friday night...just me and the kids...who were both sleeping up until my fingers hit the key board just now.

My little squirrel Aviana is laying on her play mat beside me, batting at the dragonfly on her Bright Stars toy bar. She loves to suck on the wings. Pulling on it she sets off the music above it and the lights on the smiley, sunny face blink....the songs have played about 10 times already. Her death grip is on the poor dragonfly.

Cobe is fast asleep...what a day...he did not nap at the sitters today so I put him down at 5:15 and let him sleep a good REM cycle of 90 mins....he ate copious amounts of food for a 23 month old...leftover pot pie...pasta...rice...juice...and 2 Nilla Wafers for dessert! I kept him up 'til almost 9 and he went to bed like a dream...looking at me so sweetly and patting his sister's arm while we all lay in the 'big bed'. I turned out the light and made up some song about sleeping and dreams and he floated off, but not before I rocked him in my arms and put him in his bed.

Yup, it was a wonderful evening...aside from the hysterical fit Cobe had about the plastic IKEA fork on his high chair tray...I know...it was odd...and now as the songs from the toy bar have stopped, I look down to see that my little squirrel has fallen back to sleep...I guess it's time to let out the dogs and call it a night...don't let the bed bugs bite!

03-01-2010 - Tweet This...

While following Twitter today I read this tweet:
MOPS_Int RT @MomSenseMag: Ponder this today – when my child is 30, I want him to remember (what) from his childhood?

Reading the following blog made me realize that I want my kids to know that I wish them "enough"...

At an airport I overheard a father and daughter in their last moments together. They had announced her plane’s departure and standing near the door She said, “Daddy, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Daddy.” They kissed good-bye and she left. He walked over toward the window where I was seated.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish enough “Hello’s” to get you through the final “Good-bye.”

And today, I wish you enough, too.
